VMware Workstation Player 12.5 Installation Guide - Part 2

This is the second part of the VMware Workstation Player installation, in this section we will be installing Windows XP Professional on our newly installed VMware Workstation Player on our Windows 10 PC.

We will begin by launching our VMware Player from the Desktop shortcut icon and then follow the below steps, please read each and every step carefully.

When you launch the VMware player for the first time, because we are using for non-commercial purpose, enter your email address to receive their marketing promos 

This is GUI Interface of the VMware Workstation Player, its very basic and that's all that we need. Click on "Create a New Virtual Machine"

There are few steps to complete here, you can use a Windows XP Dvd if you have, but we will use a ready downloaded ISO file

Once selected, click Next

You can enter your Windows XP Key, or you can enter it once the installation is complete, Click Next

It will give you this pop up, click Yes

Choose a Name, which will be easier for you to navigate when you launch VMware Player another time or if you have multiple VM's

Allocate the amount of Hard Disk you want, I will leave the default 40GB. But you can choose more depending on your requirements

On this section, it will show you the amount of Memory, Hard Drive. You can clic

Windows will begin Installation
Wait for completion
